2023 Legal Scholars Writing Competition

The Tulane Women in Sports Law Symposium 2023 Legal Scholars Writing Competition presented by Fragomen is designed to encourage students to express their views on a preselected topic. The contest gives law students an opportunity to practice their legal research and writing skills while also gaining support and recognition from experienced legal practitioners.

Summary of the Details

Who is eligible

This competition is open to any law student (1L-3L or LLM) who currently attends an ABA-accredited law school.

Rules and Deadlines

All entries must be typewritten in 12-point font, double-spaced with margins no smaller than one (1) inch not to exceed 2,000 words.

 

All entries must be submitted via PDF.

 

Each entry should have a cover sheet. The cover sheet must contain the name of the student, law school, law school classification (1L, 2L, 3L, or LLM) for the 2022-23 academic year, email address, and telephone number.​

All entries must be electronically submitted to the Tulane Women in Sports Law Symposium organizing committee at tulanewomeninsportslaw@gmail.com

  •  The email must include in the subject line: 2023 Legal Scholars Writing Competition Submission by [your name].

 

The deadline to submit an entry is December 19, 2022 at 11:59 PM CST.

Awards

Two (2) winners will be recognized at the Tulane Women in Sports Law Symposium Welcome and Networking Reception on Friday, January 27, 2023. Winners will be notified via email no later than January 3, 2023.
